We were founded and fished our first Bass Tournament on Lake Okeechobee in October 2002. All meetings are held in the Spanish Lakes River Front Club House Reading Room and are always on the 3rd Tuesday of each month. Our monthly tournament is fished on the Saturday following the meeting on Lake Okeechobee and other lakes located in our area.
We are affiliated with FLW Outdoors and the Florida Bass Federation. Initial Membership in our club is $75.00 and $50.00 per year for the second and subsequent years. Each tournament is $20.00 with a big fish side bet. Non-boaters will pay the boater an additional $25.00 or a price agreed upon by the anglers each tournament or prefish (more if you desire to help the boater) to help defray the cost of fuel. We currently have 23 members.
We are a bass club dedicated to teaching and showing others the fine skills required to catch and release the elusive Florida Black Bass; Big Mouth, Mossy Backs, or bucket mouths which every you prefer. We teach underprivileged children the importance of releasing bass, casting techniques and then take them out fishing. We have environmental projects that we do each year.
