Skip just doesn't believe he caught only two bass.
So, I proceeded to the second spot where what looked like some decent shad schooled against the wall. After several unsuccessful cast to the feeders, I made a cast out about 10 feet from where they were hitting, well away from the wall and hooked up on a good 2 pounder. The schoolers were still there and still not hitting. I tried 5 different lures with negative results. So, I moved on down to another spot with negative results again. I returned to the schooling fish and soon had a second hit. Not as good as the first fish but it was a keeper at 13 inches.
I proceeded then to a fairly new location off the main canal and with the first cast got hit but lost the fish on the way to the boat. It was small and I don't think it would have been kept anyway. This area did not produce another bit. So, I

We had 5 Anglers who did not fish this tournament. Any one of which could have made the outcome different.
Jim Steward, who fished as a guest for the tournament, came to the scale with one nice fish in the 2 pound range. We're looking forward to seeing Jim back next month and making him a permanent member of the club.
