January 2007 results


Lunker for Sherman Cruse.

On January 20th the East Coast Bass Anglers held their monthly Tournament launching at the Taylor Creek ramp on the North end of Lake Okeechobee. It was a slow tournament with only two anglers coming to the scale with a five fish limit. However, Sherman Cruse, fishing as a non-boater with Bob Haarer came to the scale with only one fish, but what a fish it was. An 8.05 pound Lunker Buster! After that fish all the rest were just small. Finishing in First place was Matt Johnson and Dean Baldwin with a total weight of 12.21 pounds. Second place goes to Bobby Sheltra and Mike Schlueter with a total weight of 11.56 pounds and Third place belongs to Bob Haarer and Sherman Cruse with 8.05 pounds.

It was a slow tournament for most of us but it certainly is way ahead of working. It was a beautiful day to be outdoors and appreciate the wonderful weather that we have here in South Florida.
