Ouzo Pro Mark Lundgrun with 5.53 pound Tourney Big Bass.
East Coast Bass Anglers held their monthly tournament launching out of Slim's Fish Camp in Belle Glade, Fl on the south end of Lake Okeechobee. It was a tough day for myself and my partner but everyone else seemed to have a handle on where the fish were and what they wanted to eat.
Ouzo Pro Mark Lundgrun, who went north into the lake and up the east side in very rough water, came out on top with a healthy stringer of fish. Loel Brandscomb who fished in the same area as this angler, came to the scale with the second largest stringer. As it turned out, this tournament was by far the best tournament East Coast Bass Anglers has ever had as far as total weight goes.
The Results are as follows:
- 1st Place Team: Mark Lundgren and Leroy Bauer: Total Weight: 28.27 Pounds with Marks stringer weighing 18.89 pounds. Mark also had big bass for this tournament which was 5.53 pounds.
- 2nd Place Team: Loel Brandscomb and Dean Baldwin: Total Weight: 24.55 pounds with Loel's Stringer weighing 17.05 pounds.
- 3rd Place Team: Bob Haarer and Bob Miller: Total Weight: 22..35 pounds With each being about equal with their stringers.
A total of 59 fish were caught and the total weight was 135.62 pounds. A total of twelve anglers came in with five fish limits
Two Anglers who had five fish limits were fishing as prospective club members so their stringers did not count in the total. If they had been included, this tournament would have produced over 150 pounds of bass. Congratulations to all anglers for a job well done.
