Dean with 4.25 pound Tourney Big Bass.

This past Saturday,July 23RD, East Coast Bass Anglers held their monthly tournament, launching out of the Snub Lake Ramp on the Palm Beach Canal System.

There were a total of 37 bass caught and released weighing a combined total of 45.44 pounds. Al Nevarez came in with the biggest five fish stringer weighing in at 8.87 pounds. Dean Baldwin had big fish for the tournament weighing 4.25 pounds. Mark Lundgren and Lionel Botha had a total combined weight of 12.52 pounds to take first place in this tournament. John Hodgson and Mike Kenzie finished second with a combined total of 12.50 pounds. Third Place was Ed Owens and Dean Baldwin with a combined total of 12.16 pounds.

It wasn't the greatest tournament we've ever had and it was real tough for some anglers. Only five anglers came to the weigh in with their five fish limits. It was not only tough fishing but the temp was up there. It was certainly one of the hottest days of fishing this year. And next month will also be hot. We will be fishing on Lake Blue Cypress off of Highway 60 out of Vero, Fl., provided the lake has enough water to launch boats and safely operate there.
