Mark Lungren with tourney big bass.
We started our Tournament at Safe Light. All anglers proceeded to the main part of the lake and started fishing. It seemed like everyone had the same idea because we all ended up in about the same location. Leroy Bauer was there throwing his favorite lure and catching nice fish. His partner, Dean Baldwin, was doing as well and Leroy later provided him with one his lures. Dean managed to catch four quality fish before the bite stopped. Hunter Broggi and his partner mostly stayed in the Canal on the north end of the lake and came in with the second big stringer for the day at just over ten pounds. Bob Haarer got three nice fish which totaled 7.30 pounds. Carl Lewis and Skip Jeslosky who were fishing their own boats had eight fish between them which totaled 11.98 pounds. It got real cloudy with lightning strikes around 2:30 and I headed for the ramp. The rest of the anglers soon followed.

Our next Tournament is on the Kissimmee River. However, that is subject to change if the water level on Lake Okeechobee doesn't come up some. We had heavy rain over the lake today and were supposed to get more tomorrow. Keep your fingers crossed and let there be rain. See ya at the ramp.
