November 2010 Results

Leroy Bauer with 7.25 pound Tourney Big Bass.

East Coast Bass Anglers held their Monthly Tournament at Lake Okeechobee on November 13th. Launching at safe light, about 6:10 A.M., all anglers headed to their honey holes.

My partner and I headed to our spot on the west side of the big O and within a few minutes of arrival, we had our first fish in the boat on a spinner bait. The second fish came just a few minutes later by Ray Guerra, my partner. He then proceeded to catch his 5 fish limit by 7:30 and had about 7 pounds in the boat. Throughout the day Ray culled most of his first 5 fish and finished the tournament with 9.11 pounds. I struggled to catch my five fish limit but finally managed to get them in the boat and even culled one fish.

Mark Lundgren arrived in the same area about Noon and fished until we headed for the weigh in. Marked culled all of his five fish in this area and had one nice 6.25 pounder. Mark's fish was caught in or near pads fishing an Ozo Bait which netted him big stringer for the day. Marks stringer of five fish was 14.85 pounds. His partner, Hunter Broggi weighed in the Second biggest stringer at 12.23 pounds. Nice catch guys.

During this tournament there were a total of 56 bass caught amongst 12 anglers. Total weight of those fish was 98.84 pounds. All fish were released alive to fight again another day. Nine anglers caught their five fish limits. Next tournament will be at Ansin Garcia off State Road 512 in Indian River County. Hope to see you at the ramp.
